My Background

Care Comes First

After studying at Sheffield University, I took my first job in 1990 at the Leicester Royal Infirmary with the NHS, where I consolidated my learning eventually specialising in orthopaedics. The next step in my career was as a part time physiotherapist for the Leicester Tigers rugby team as well as opening my own private practice. I have 18 years of experience in occupational health having worked for companies such as Asda, Toyota, Marconi, Nissan and Disney.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture involves the insertion of very fine, stainless steel needles into the skin. It may be used to treat a wide range of common health problems and to reduce pain by stimulating nerve fibres to block out the pain signals, producing pain and stress relieving chemicals.

Sports Injury

Sports Therapy

Sports injuries should be diagnosed and treated as soon as possible to allow a fast and effective return to sport. You will be taught how to self manage with specific exercise and advise to promote the healing process and prevent re-injury as well as hands-on treatment.

Musculoskeletal Treatment

General pressures of everyday life make it inevitable, that at some stage in our lives, we will feel discomfort in our muscles and bones. If you have acute pain, you will be taught how to self manage along side evidence based treatment. If you have chronic pain there is an opportunity to refer for scanning if needed to assess the best way to treat you.
